Linear Pair
Move the Slider .................
A linear pair is a pair of adjacent angles formed when two lines intersect. (If a line is drawn from another line then the sum of the angles on either side is 1800.
A pair of angles got like this is called a linear pair.)
ie. Two angles that are adjacent (share a leg) and supplementary is a linear pair. Hence, Linear pair is always supplementary .
If two angles have a common vertex and a common arm but no common interior points, then they are called adjacent angles.
If two adjacent angles are supplimentary they are linear pair.
