Intuitive derivative of the sin function

A helpful resource to show that the derivative of a function of a single variable at a chosen input value, when it exists, is the slope of the tangent line to the graph of the function at that point. In this case by using the sin we will find its derivative, the cosine. Move the points along the graph of the function. Use the white points below each color point to modify the slope of the segment trying to make it tangent to the graph of the function. The check box "slope yellow points" gives you the option of showing the slope of the yellow points. The check box "show the answer" shows the graph of the derivative of the function sin (cosine)
