Leaping Lizards (MVP Math 2)

Use GeoGebra Tools to create three transformations of the lizard: For each transformation, start by pressing the Transform Tool. It is the 9th button from the left. Mouse over for directions how to use the tools. 1) Translate the lizard so that he is lying on the rock.
  • Press the Transform Tool.
  • Select "Translate by Vector" option.
  • Click on the original lizard's body.
  • Click on the point at the nose of the lizard (point A). Drag your mouse to the point on the rock (point Z) to create a vector.
2) Rotate the lizard around point Y so that he is jumping into the mud puddle.
  • Press the Transform Tool.
  • Select the "Rotate around Point" option.
  • Click on the original lizard's body.
  • Click on point Y.
  • Type 90 degrees and make sure "counterclockwise" is chosen.
3) Reflect the lizard over the line so that he flips over the cactus.
  • Press the Transform Tool.
  • Select "Reflect about Line" option.
  • Click on the original lizard's body.
  • Click on the black diagonal line.
