Perimeter of Triangle/Parallelogram

To find the side length of a shape with a sloped line, the Pythagorean theorem is used. The Pythagorean theorem formula is a^2+b^2=c^2. Side AB=5 To find side AC of the triangle, the Pythagorean theorem is used using DA and DC. 3^2+3^2=c^2 18=c^2 square root of 18= AC To find side CB of the triangle, the Pythagorean theorem is used using CE and EB. 2^2+3^2=c^2 13=c^2 square root of 13= CB Perimeter= 5+ square root 18+ square root 13= about 12.8 units
