Current Situation
We have a number of teachers who use Geogebra (GGB) or Geometers’ Sketchpad (GSP) to
Demonstrate key concepts visually in topics such as basic and angle properties of lines, plane figures, circles, trigonometry, coordinate geometry and graphing of functions.
Carry out exploratory lessons, problem based or teacher guided ICT lessons in computer laboratories.
Teachers are familiar with GSP because all pre-service teachers’ ICT training module includes GSP software familiarization.
Some teachers are able to transfer their knowledge in GSP to GGB create demonstrations and lesson resources.
Some teachers think GGB learning resources are more accessible as students can read ahead or review any ICT lessons at home or anywhere.
