Mathematical Connection of The Game
Manipulatives can make an enormous contribution to students' understanding in mathematics. They can learn easily, if we teach with the help of manipulatives. In this game we put pictures that represent some simple and compound fractions and want students to write the fractions corresponding the pictures. We use different shapes such as rectangle, circle, triangle, pentagon, square. So that students can see fractions can be represented with different shapes and notice the parts of these shapes should be equal to each other. Students can also examine representation of fractions on decimal numbers, because when they write the answer in fraction form like 1/2 GeoGebra change them into decimal numbers like 0.5 .
