# Create any cross section and get properties

An example use is the following, it will have a final cross section made up by 2 rectangles. First set your axes to have the scale you're going to need. Obviously if you're working in mm you'll need to be in the 100's and if in inches you'll need single digits most likely. Do this by holding the Shift key down while holding the LMB down over the axes and move to adjust. Next, add to the Input bar the following to create two rectangles: Input: \$A=Tool2[100,300,(0,0)] Input: \$B=Tool2[600,100,(0,0)] The above is set to take [width, height, (x,y)]. (x,y) is where upper right corner of rectangle is placed. Note also that the above will create two rectangles, so from now on you're working with Column B in the spreadsheet. Now go to Column B, which is already set up for 2 rectangles, and in Cells B1, B2, and B3, simply add an "=" to the beginning of the string already existing in these cells. Then, add to the Input bar the following: Input: Tool3[B1,B2,B3] (Note B is used here because 2 rectangle were created). This will calculate Imax, Imin, and theta. Now in Cells B4, B5, and B6, again add an "=" to the string already existing in these cells, or simply re-enter "a", "b", and "c". Also in Cells B7 and B8, add an "=" to the string already existing in these cells. Then, add to the Input bar the following: Input: (B7,B8) (Note again that B is used here because 2 rectangle were created) Lastly move the sub-shapes into your desired cross-section. I recommend you right-click on the centroid point "A" and change the color and size so that it stands out.
