Equilateral & Equiangular N-gons

Topic:
Geometry
Three-sided figures are called triangles. They could also be called trilaterals. They are 3-gons. All equilateral 3-gons are equiangular. All equiangular 3-gons are equilateral. Four-sided figures are called quadrilaterals. They could also be called quadrangles. They are 4-gons. Here are some categories of 4-gons; • 4-gons that are equiangular • 4-gons that are NOT equiangular • 4-gons that are equilateral • 4-gons that are NOT equilateral Give an example of a 4-gon that fits in each category. Are there 4-gons that fit in NO category? Example, or why not? Are there 4-gons that fit in MORE THAN ONE category? Example, or why not? What about pentagons (5-gons)? hexagons (6-gons) ? What questions could / would you ask your students based on this applet ?
