regular dodecagon from a square

Can you construct the circle that cuts the sides of a square and its diagonals into the twelve points that form a regular dodecagon? You have to know how to construct a square that has the same area than a rectangle. If you don't know how, then ask Euclide... You may get some help from Pythagore and Thales too.
