The Derivative as a Function

What can you learn?
We are tracking the value of the slope of the tangent line of the blue function at point A.
Move slider a, or click on the play button in the menu (you may have to scroll to see the play button).
As point A moves along the function, the value of the slope of the tangent line is shown, and its value is also being traced by point B.
Point B creates the green function, which is the derivative of the original blue function.
The green function is a function which can give the value of the derivative of the blue function, at any point.
