Kuhna Ark - pattern and tiles - gp

Image
The decoration of the walls in the Kuhna Ark combines a geometric pattern with a floral pattern. Stars and polygons in a geometric pattern often are filled up with floral designs. Here you see that this floral design matches with the symmetry of the stars but as well runs through the stars as well. Notice that the size of the glazed completely neglects the pattern. You can clearly see this in the following applet.
Because the pattern is independent of the size of the tiles every tile is unique, which makes the construction of the tiling difficult. To facilitate it every tile bears a number, starting in the lower right corner. For the lower row the white edge is practicle to use. In the other rows you can find the numbers somewhere in a white flower.
