1) Fill the outline with the three squares and the right triangle. 2) Use the triangle, the blue square, the white square and the red parallelogram to fill the outline. What can you say about the areas of the red square and the red parallelogram? 3) Fill the outline with the red square, the white square, the triangle and the blue parallelogram. What can you say about the areas of the blue square and the blue parallelogram? 4) Fill the outline with the two parallelograms in the bottom, the red square, the blue square, and the triangle. What can you say about sum of the areas of the two parallelograms with respect to the area of the white square? 5) Use the findings in the previous activities to compare the sum of the areas of the two squares on the legs with the area of the square on the hypotenuse.
